Release Train Engineer

Context

The Experience Management Business Unit consists of many scrum teams, all releasing their own artefacts which often depend on each other. It’s important to make sure these operations are synchronized to prevent one product breaking another which depends on it.

Challenges

Buy in and alignment: Whenever working with multiple teams, there are challenges in aligning processes and getting buy in from all parties.

• Conducted Release Train Ceremonies
• Collaborated with teams on process development
• Incrementally improved the processes involved as new needs arise, striving for optimum efficiency
• Efficiently gathered data using available tooling (Confluence, Jira, PowerBI, EazyBI)

Results

• Successfully scheduled and orchestrated on schedule releases every month during my 2 year tenure
• Organized releases for 7 scrum teams
• Improved efficiency of process from ~ THIS to THAT
• Managed cross-team dependencies to ensure communication between silos
