Portfolio Website
This project combined the need for a new resume/portfolio and the desire to learn new techniques and processes that might be useful in a new role to produce a great learning and promotional tool.
Context
As I faced the prospect of finding employment in a market I’d not experienced in roughly a decade, I wanted to put my best foot forward, and thought that creating a portfolio/resume website using a team of hand-crafted AI agents might be a good way to demonstrate that my skills remain current and also give me a chance to learn some new technologies at the same time.
My role & team
I was responsible for the entire project, from the initial design and planning, to the implementation and deployment. I created a team of AI agents to assist with various tasks throughout the project, including content generation, design, and development. I also leveraged AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot to assist with coding and debugging, but also ensured consistent human review to make sure the content was accurate and the design was up to my standards. Challenges
- Web Technologies: Although I dabbled in HTML as a teenager, I am not an expert in web technologies such as JavaScript, CSS and all the frameworks that branch between them. Agents can only get you so far, and the inevitable adjustment of the site gave me a chance to learn a little more about these mysterious arts.
- AI agents: My first attempts to craft a site using AI were functional, but creating the site I wanted required the creation of a team of AI agents, which I borrowed from other personal projects and improved as I progressed.
