Worked as a Programmer/Analyst at Logica, responsible for GUI design, client support, and training for government IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • GUI Design: Used the C# programming language to design a Graphical User Interface to control a Facial Recognition algorithm. Programmed the interaction between applications using windows control messages and wrote code to access and display images in a customised ‘filmstrip’ format.
  • Support Manager: Responsible for the entire support chain for a government IT system. Handled initial support calls, analysed complex issues with hardware items and software packages, and disseminated the relevant solutions and information in a clear and concise manner to the parties concerned.
  • Client Training: Demonstrated full surveillance set-ups to the client, formulated and presented training programmes, gave product demonstrations and assisted in their familiarisation with various devices including servers, laptops, video/stills cameras and audio recorders.
